With genomic sequencing and artificial intelligence, Mayo Clinic Cancer Center researchers developed an algorithm to predict how patients with gastric cancer will respond to treatment.

At 23Strands, we think it's essential to help you stay updated and informed on the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) and genomics news!

Interestingly, as of 2022, the Mayo Clinic Cancer Centre is validating the use of genomic sequencing and AI to help predict treatment responses in patients with gastric cancer, one of the most deadly cancers worldwide.

The research team stated that they are working on an "AI algorithm that utilises diagnostic histopathology images to identify patients most likely to benefit from immunotherapy." They are also studying the "molecular mechanisms of immunotherapy resistance" made available by their lab's machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches.
